Coco peat, also known as coir pith, coir dust, or simply coir, is made by processing coconut husks. The coir dust is obtained from the husks by separating the long fibres. The speciality of coir pith is its ability to hold large quantities of water just like a sponge. This allows it to be used in horticulture as a soil-less substrate.

Fiber-reinforced plastic is sunlight resistant, but it's also more susceptible to water damage which can lead to mold growth over time. When exposed to sun for a long period of time without any protection, the product itself will become weaker and might break if it comes under too much pressure from different weather conditions. In most cases you'll find that FRP is treated with special chemicals during production so that it contains UV inhibitors which protect from harmful sunlight while also being resistant against water damage as well.

3) What is buffered coco peat?

faq open icon

Buffered coco peat is coco peat that has been treated with a pH-buffering agent to stabilize the pH at a specific level. Coco peat is naturally slightly acidic, with a pH ranging from 5.5 to 6.5. In some cases, plants may prefer a more neutral pH level in order to thrive. To create buffered coco peat, the pH of the coco peat is adjusted to a specific level using a buffering agent. This helps to stabilize the pH of the coco peat and prevent it from fluctuating. Buffered coco peat is often used in hydroponic systems or in other situations where a consistent pH level is important for plant growth.
